MEET EZ.RC : PHIL
We’ve cornered a few of our EZ.RC team members and asked them all the burning questions.
What drew you to EZ.RC, and what keeps you coming back?
I remember doing old school hill sprints in Penarth at the very beginning and I loved it! The community & people. Seeing everyone a few times a week, training hard together and having socials after, it’s just class.
How has your relationship with running changed over time?
I put less pressure on running now, in terms of not having to hit specific paces or times every single run. Now I just go out and enjoy running for what it is, instead of getting too fixated on the numbers.
If you could go back and give your beginner-runner self some advice, what would it be?
Don’t worry about training splits & complicated terminology. Just go and run a couple times a week. You’ll get better eventually!
What’s a non-running habit or mindset that’s made you a better runner?
Whenever you smile it makes you feel better.
What’s a running goal that excites you right now?
I’d love to tick off a 100k ultra.
What do you tell yourself when a run feels tough?
Remember you’ve always got more left in the legs, you’ve just got to find it!
Describe your perfect post-run meal or ritual.
Its got to be a sauna & ice bath.
If you could go for a run anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Has to be Queenstown in New Zealand.
