MEET EZ.RC : KATE

We’ve cornered a few of our EZ.RC team members and asked them all the burning questions.

What’s your “why” for running?

That feeling you get after a run, no matter how the run went, good, bad, awful… you still got out and did something and it feels amazing to have moved your body and appreciate that you can do it.

What drew you to EZ.RC, and what keeps you coming back?

A friend was going regularly and was saying how much fun it was, the energy, the support from everyone. So I rocked up one week and I’ve not really looked back. It’s great to have a group of people all pushing each other on and celebrating everyone’s wins!

How has being part of the club impacted your running?

I’m not the fastest in the pack, but I can feel and see the difference EZ.RC has had on my running since I joined. Everyone pushing each other on regardless of pace and ability.

Plus, I love a good social after track or a Sunday session.

If you could go back and give your beginner-runner self some advice, what would it be?

To enjoy the process, remember why you started running and how it helped you through some of the hardest times. The progress keeps coming when you stick to it and don’t give up.

What’s the best piece of running advice you’ve ever received?

Progress is not linear and it’s not always about PBs and times, it’s about how you feel. I’m the worlds worst for beating myself up when things don’t go to plan, so I really need to keep remembering this!

What’s a running goal that excites you right now?

The goal is a sub 2 hour Half marathon and I felt like I was getting so close to that goal, but now the setbacks have made me want to push even harder to get there.

Describe your perfect post-run meal or ritual.

Hot bath, Cooked dinner, Nap - Perfect!
